Background check after removing criminal record …?
Live in Kansas and have had a felony conviction erased. I recently offered work and wonder if it will show in my records. My lawyer was in charge of everything and sent letters to various law enforcement agencies by raising awareness of the elimination criminal record. He also told me that I could answer "no" when the application asked if I had been convicted of a felony. Does anyone has some answers or suggestions?
Run your own background check and see if it appears. Notify your attorney if you do you can send the order to repress. Nobody information may be disclosed by law. If an employer brings it up, tell them you have a court order to suppress the information and may have received information illegally, then notify your attorney.
