Canadian Marriage Certificate
How I can fill my taxes in this situation?
I am a Canadian citizen, and working in Canada.I just get married last month outside Canada and returned to Canada with my wife. made social security number and she is still looking for work. My question is, when I fill the taxes, I will file as single or married. and it is important to a marriage certificate from Canada to implement within the tax return?
As married. No form of marriage has to be filled, month and year only required married. CERT marriage, you do not have to submit with the tax forms. http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/rc65/rc65-09e.pdf
