Can i be sued by someone who was proven innocent for theft?

I recently accused my neighbor of breaking into my house, he has a history of theft among our other neighbors which on 2 accounts he's promised to replace their belongings. After hiding from the police finally he was found. He was questioned, his name was scanned and came up with an active bench warrant which at that point he was arrested and searched. Upon this a screwdriver that belonged to one of the toolboxes that was stolen was seized from his pockets. He's spent 2 1/2 weeks incarcerated and was released with a court return date. He now stated to my other neighbor that once he is clear of charges that he plans on suing me and the police department because he is innocent. Can he do this? How can i protect myself in return?

He stated this to a neighbor knowing the neighbor would tell you about the conversation and is only trying to intimidate you.

There is a huge hope in his mind that he will not be convicted but it sounds to me like he's on the way to some serious trouble.

Don't let this clown worry you...he obviously can spew the words "law suit" but has yet to say for what! He can't sue for defamation as there is none from what you say. Let me guess...lost wages! While in jail he couldn't break in to other homes to pawn off the stolen goods for cash!

What is a level W arrest warrant?

My daughters boy friend has a level W warrant in Marion County Florida. The Ocala Police Dept is looking for him. This guy states he turned himself in but the internet warrant search site says his warrant status is A which leads me to believe it is Active. I just don't know what the level W means. I don't know much about this guy. He is a new boyfiend and my daughter is only 17 Thanks.

In some jurisdictions it means W previous sex offender classifications
